At the event, Lee also announced additions to his campaign team for Shelby County and West Tennessee.

“I am so pleased to open this office for my campaign for governor,” said Lee. “I have deep roots in the area, and it was important to me that my first major office outside of Williamson County be right here.”

Along with opening his office, Lee announced the addition of key leaders in Shelby County for his gubernatorial campaign.  Lang Wiseman, former Shelby County Republican Chairman and local attorney will serve as Shelby County Chairman. Horace Tipton will serve as the Shelby County Field Director for the campaign.  Tipton is a native Memphian.  A graduate of Texas Christian University, he has worked in the Texas House of Representatives as a Legislative Aide and most recently worked for the Kevin Vaughn for State House campaign.
