Bill Lee Announces Students for Bill
Student activists from across the state support Lee in his campaign for governor.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Lee announced student leaders from across Tennessee have formed Students for Bill. The coalition, covering schools across the state, will serve as an essential component of Lee’s grassroots support and help spread Bill’s ideas within their campus communities.
Today’s announcement comes the same day that Lee will address the 14th Annual Tennessee College Republican State Convention.
“With this initial coalition of student activists from across our state, I’m so honored to see the continued grassroots support for this campaign and my vision for Tennessee,” said Lee. “These students make up a diverse group of leaders working to ensure our victory in November.”
To lead this coalition of over 100 student activists, Lee announced three Co-Chairs, representing each of the three Grand Divisions of the state. The three Co-Chairs are:
“I’m honored to serve as Bill Lee’s West Tennessee Co-Chair,” said Jonathan Pesce. “Bill’s commitment to Shelby County and West Tennessee and to our students across the state show his dedication to our state’s universities and students.”
“I support Bill Lee because he is a businessman who puts others first. I know firsthand Bill’s commitment to our state, and that’s why I’m proud to be part of this grassroots team of student leaders working towards electing Bill as our next governor,” said Trey Jones.
“For some, running to be governor is just part of their political career. We don’t need a politician for governor; we need a businessman, a farmer, and a man of faith, working to improve the lives of Tennesseans. Bill Lee is that man, and that’s why I’m proud to support him as our next governor,” said Janey Green.
